This shiny gingerbread man can be given as a charming gift or used as an ornament or Christmas tree decoration! Alternatively, string several of them together to make a festive gingerbread man garland! Made using our Mermaid Shiny Thread, you can crochet 25 gingerbread men using just a single yarn cake.
Materials & Tools

- Yarn: Black Cherry Lurex Thread plus some leftover scraps of white yarn
- Parts: Toy stuffing
- Hook: 3 mm crochet hook / US size 2
- Other tools: Yarn needle
SIZE: Approx. 10 cm x 5 cm
Notes
- This little crochet stuffed gingerbread man is worked in the round and all in one piece, so there’s no seaming at all.
- Just add the embroidered contour using some white yarn.

Start with a magic ring.
R1 6 sc into magic ring Continue working in the round. Use a stitch marker to mark the beginning of each new row.

We have just completed the head and the neck. We will now start working the arms.
R10 2 sc x2, ch 6, turn to work,   starting from the 2nd ch from hook 5sc along the back of the chain, 4sc along the front of head, ch 6, turn and work 5sc, 2sc along the head (30)
R11Â 7sc along back and arm, 14 sc along other side of arm, front and other arm, sc in front loop only of other tip stitch, sc x7 down arm and back (30)

This completes the arms, we will now work the body. Â

This completes the body, start stuffing with Poly-fil.
Let’s do now the first leg.

Stuff with Poly-fil.
R24  1 dec, 1 sc, 1 dec, 1 sc, 1 dec  (5) Â
Cut yarn, pull through loop on hook to fasten. Use your yarn needle to weave the end.
Add the second leg:
Join yarn on to R19, 1 sc, 1 hdc, 6 sc and sl st into first sc to join (6)
This creates the top of second leg. Â
R20-23 sc in each st all around   (8)
Stuff with Poly-fil.
R24  1 dec, 1 sc,1 dec, 1 sc, 1 dec  (5) Â
Fasten off and use your yarn needle to weave the end.
Join some leftover white yarn at the bottom of the little guy, and work a round of 1 sc all around the edge (do not crochet too tightly). Add some pretty red ribbon to hang! Enjoy!
