The Directions
Â
The Glove (both alike)

Twisted rib
Using 2.75 mm needles cast on 51 sts
ROW1: RS p1, (k1tbl, p1) to end of row.
ROW2: k1, (p1tbl, k1)
These two rows form the pattern for a twisted rib. Repeat these two rows until work measures 5cms ending on row two.
Continue with glove as follows:
Woven Rib
ROW1: RS knit to end
ROW2: knit to end
ROW3: p1, (k1tbl, p1) to end of row
ROW4: k1, (p1tbl, k1) to end of row
These four rows form the pattern for the Woven Rib. Repeat rows 1-4 in this section twice more and rows 1 & 2 once more.
Broken Rib
Change to broken rib
ROW1: k1, (p1tbl, k1) to end of row.
ROW2: Purl to end
These two rows form the pattern for the Broken Rib. Repeat rows 1-2 in this section 4 times more.
Return to Woven Rib and complete 1-4 three times as before and 1 & 2 once more
Return to Broken Rib section and repeat rows 1 & 2 five times as before.
Return to Woven Rib section and complete rows 1-4 once.
Knit 2 rows.
Cast off.
To make up
With wrong side facing, fold the glove in half longways. Starting from the top of the glove and using mattress stitch, stitch up glove seam for 6.5 cm. leave a gap of 5 cm for the thumb and sew up remaining seam. Sew in threads…and enjoy!
