
This precious textured scarf looks almost as good on the reverse side as it does on the right side. No shaping is required as the natural tension of the different ribs used do the shaping for you. A great project for a beginner, it is easy to knit but at the same time has shape and elegance. You will love the result.

- 1 pair of 2.25 & 2.75 mm needles
- 5 x 50 g of any colors of the Mineral-dyed Merino Wool (fingering weight)
Here we have used Graphite Mineral Wool
Size:130 cm long and 25 cm wide
Tension:Â Woven rib, 10 cm square, 28 sts x 36 rows
Abbreviations
- K: knit
- p: purl
- RS: right side
- tbl: through the back of loop
- WR: wrong side
The Directions

using 2.25 mm needles cast on 67 sts
Horizontal rib
ROW1: RS knit to end
ROW2: Purl to end
ROW3: Purl to end
ROW4: Knit to end
Repeat rows 1-4 five more time.
Twisted Rib
Change to 2.75 needles
ROW1: RS p1, (k1tbl, p1) to end of row
ROW2: k1, (p1tbl, k1)
Repeat these two rows until work measures 10 cm ending on row 2.
Woven Rib
ROW1: RS knit to end
ROW2: knit to end
ROW3: p1, (k1tbl, p1) to end of row
ROW4: k1, (p1tbl, k1) to end of row
These four rows form the pattern for the Woven Rib. Repeat rows 1-4 in this section once more.
Broken Rib
ROW1: k1, (p1tbl, k1) to end of row.
ROW2: Purl to end
 Repeat these two rows eighteen more times.
Repeat Woven Rib and Broken Rib sections six more times.
Twisted Rib
Change to 2.75 needles cast on 51sts
ROW1: RS p1, (k1tbl, p1) to end of row.
ROW2: k1, (p1tbl, k1)
Repeat rows 1 and 2 above to complete a 10 cm block of Twisted Rib ending on row 2.
Horizontal Rib
Change to 2.25 mm needles
ROW1: RS knit to end
ROW2: Purl to end
ROW3: Purl to end
ROW4: Knit to end
Repeat rows 1 -4 five more times.
Cast Off.
 Sew in threads and lightly press ends.
